“We will have our rock wall, blowup slide, a brand new bounce castle, petting zoo, train ride, face painting and pumpkin painting,” shared Sondra Vecchio, Camp Administrator at the YMCA East Hampton RECenter.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the YMCA will be bringing the fun during a day of athletic adventures, family fun, and fall favorites. A highlight of the event is the Great Pumpkin Hunt, which is similar to an Easter Egg Hunt but with autumn themed eggs and treasures. Registration is required for the Great Pumpkin Hunt. Ages 3 to 4 will embark on their search at 10 a.m., followed by ages 5 to 7 at 11 a.m. The final Great Pumpkin Hunt is for ages 8 to 11 at 12 p.m.
The Festival will also feature several East End organizations. “We also have outside vendors attending the event – The Wellness Foundation, Sag Harbor Kids, Sweetauk, East End Taste and Kona Ice,” noted Vecchio. Festivalgoers can support the YMCA by taking a chance on the silent auction and raffle showing YMCA related prizes like vouchers for summer camp, dance, swim, memberships and outside vendor gift certificates.
“It’s going to be a fun family friendly day,” said Vecchio.
The YMCA East Hampton RECenter is located at 2 Gingerbread Lane in East Hampton. For more information, call 631-329-6884 or visit ymcali.org.
