On Saturday, July 30th, the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Marine Program will present a Back to the Bays Days at Shucker’s Lobster Bar in Hampton Bays. From 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy an evening of music, art, and shellfish, while learning about all the work being done by the Marine Program.
“This is a great family-friendly, free event focused on art, shellfish, music and giving back to our bays,” said Kim Barbour, Marine Program Outreach Manager of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. “We welcome all to come out and meet members of the Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program team, and learn about how you can become a steward of our marine environment.”
Music will be performed by Project Vibe, while artists Carolyn Munaco and Steve Brown (A.K.A. Bedford) will display a live marine-themed painting. Furthermore, artwork will be auctioned off at the end of the evening.
The raw bar will feature the best local clams and oysters, and all proceeds from sales will directly benefit the CCE’s shellfish and marine habitats enhancement projects.
Admission to this fun, summer event is free and all are welcome!
