    • Crazy Pizza has been on my radar all summer, and my recent visit absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a restaurant that knows exactly what experience it wants to create, and it delivers on that promise from start to finish. The first thing you notice is the service. Much of the staff is from Italy, and the hospitality feels warm and genuine.

The menu goes far beyond pizza. We started with burrata flown in from Italy that was unbelievably fresh and creamy with great olive oil. The cacio e pepe followed, rich, peppery, and perfectly emulsified.

The black truffle pizza was earthy and indulgent without feeling heavy, with a crisp yet chewy crust. The prosciutto pizza was simple and balanced, letting the salty prosciutto and light crust shine together.

Every dish delivered, and it quickly became clear the kitchen puts as much care into the full menu as it does the pizza.

The mood of the room is really something. The decor has a bright, playful energy to it, the kind of space that feels equally right for a family dinner or a late night with friends. At a certain point during dinner, the music gets loud and the whole restaurant erupts with joy as waiters come out spinning pizza dough to the beat. It is a real spectacle, and it is a real treat for kids at the restaurant, who light up watching the whole thing unfold right in front of them.

Dessert is an experience of its own. The tiramisu is assembled tableside, layer by layer, turning dessert into part of the entertainment instead of an afterthought.

I was completely blown away by the restaurant and the quality of the food. Between the burrata, cacio e pepe, truffle and prosciutto pizzas, and a creative cocktail menu, Crazy Pizza is doing far more than great pizza. Add in outstanding hospitality and a manager who clearly cares about every table, and you have one of the most fun dining experiences in East Hampton. I’ll absolutely be back.

    • Tucked inside the Sole East hotel, this hidden gem offers one of Montauk’s most relaxing dining experiences. The setting alone is worth the trip: the restaurant sits right beside a giant swimming pool ringed with loungers, where you can grab a drink, stretch out on the lawn, and settle into true Montauk fashion for the afternoon. It’s the kind of scene that makes you forget you have anywhere else to be.

But as cool as the setting is, the food is the real standout. The seafood is the star of the menu, featuring fresh fish sourced directly from the boats at Gosman’s, so what lands on your plate practically came straight off the dock. You can taste the difference immediately. Paired with seasonal vegetables and thoughtfully prepared dishes, every plate feels light, flavorful, and perfect for summer.

The drink menu deserves its own mention. Sole East’s mezcal negroni is one of the best drinks I’ve tasted. It’s smoky, balanced, and a standout on an already impressive drink menu.

From the welcoming, owner-operated atmosphere to the laid-back setting and exceptional food, Sole East is a spot we’ll gladly return to. It’s everything we love about dining in Montauk.

    • From now through July 25th, Pivotal is bringing the future we’ve all been promised to East Hampton: flying cars.

Their Helix model doesn’t require a pilot’s license to fly over eligible non-congested areas. According to Pivotal, most people can learn to fly it with just 3-4 days of training.

If you’d like to see the Helix in action, stop by Shagwong Marina this weekend for an exclusive demo.
