The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center CARe WASH To Return Memorial Day Weekend

Due to the weather, the CARe WASH was re-scheduled for Saturday, June 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center is celebrating the start of summer by hosting another CARe WASH.

“I am so delighted that during these trying times, we can come together for The Center’s CARe WASH,” Bonnie Michelle Cannon, Executive Director, stated. “Boy, do we need to show the love, and that WE CARE. Especially for our Center families and our community.”

The inaugural CARe WASH, which took place last August, was supported by several notable names, including The Real Housewives of New York City star Countess Luann de Lesseps, actress Christine Evangelista, Kim Heirston, and Michael Davies.

Hosted by Gia de Picciotto, Joey Wölffer, Maria Lavezzo, Lukas Weinstein, Evangelista, Heirston, and Davies, the 2021 iteration will be held on Saturday, May 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendees must sign up for a time slot and make a donation in advance.

“Your support helps us to CARE for those in need. Come on out and show that you CARE and get your CARe WASH!” Cannon added.

The Center offers vital educational and enrichment programs for after-school children, including teen and college prep programs. The 501(C3) also operates a food pantry, which pre-COVID was assisting 70 monthly, and is now serving over 700 people weekly.

The CARe WASH rain date is Sunday, May 30. Masks are required.
