Southampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue

Southampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue, Inc. (SVORI), is a non-profit 501C3, created to subsidize equipment upgrades and supplemental costs associated with lifesaving operations for Southampton Village Ocean Rescue (SVOR), as well as their extensive membership training. SVOR is primarily funded by the Village of Southampton, and raises additional funds through SVORI.

SVOR is a volunteer first responder organization, dedicated to making expeditious and safe water rescues year-round at all unprotected beaches in and around Southampton Village. Every month SVOR trains in different locations, coordinating with numerous emergency agencies, to be prepared for any aquatic emergency. SVOR rescuers are ocean lifeguard and CPR-certified.

In addition, SVOR members safeguard swimmers in charitable events that involve open water, as well as other water-related functions in Southampton.

SVOR's mission is to prevent drownings in Southampton.
