Let Lola Lama entertain you! Join us for a very special concert with Whatever Lola Wants, commissioned in response to our summer exhibition This Land: Considering The American Landscape. Lola Lama, the front woman of Whatever Lola Wants and recent BFA Drama Graduate from the New Studio on Broadway at NYU Tisch, takes audiences on a journey through the American Musical Theater landscape. Performing classics like “Whatever Lola Wants” from Damn Yankees and “Can’t We Be Friends” from Fine and Dandy, while offering the fascinating history behind them.
Lama is joined by Whatever Lola Wants bandmates Matthew Brand on keyboard and Dylan Hewett on bass. Learn about your favorite showtunes, uncover the transformations in Musical Theater history, and enjoy a one of a kind performance by rising stars of the East End.
