Participants will explore the anthotype process by creating photographic impressions using plant-based emulsions derived from purple corn, blueberries, spinach, and beets. Working with archival photographs, the workshop invites a dialogue between vernacular imagery and organic, light-sensitive materials. Through coating, exposing, and observing the gradual fading of these pigments, participants will consider themes of memory, time, and material transformation. The process emphasizes experimentation and the poetic instability of image making rooted in natural sources.
