From Montauk to Westhampton Beach, Farmers’ Markets located throughout the Hamptons are an easy way to shop local and enjoy fresh produce and other delectable finds.
The Westhampton Beach Farmers’ Market (85 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, whbcc.org) debuts Saturday, May 10, and will run through Saturday, November 22. 42 vendors will showcase their products every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items for sale will include breads, desserts, dairy, meat and fish, produce, pasta, wine and much more. It will also have music and activities for kids.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (165 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, 631-728-1104, www.stmaryshb.org) is hosting a Farmers’ Market on Saturdays starting Memorial Day weekend. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., stop by to purchase locally produced vegetables, fruit, eggs, fish, coffee, and other treats.
Also in Hampton Bays, Nurel’s Farmers’ Market (226 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, www.nurelsfarmersmarket.com) reopens on Sunday, May 11, with fruits, vegetables, gourmet goodies and more. They are open 9 a.m. to dark.
The Southampton Village Farmers’ Market (25 Jobs Lane, Southampton, www.southamptonchamber.com) also opens Memorial Day weekend. From Sunday, May 25, through Sunday, October 12, drop by from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to pick up sweets, produce, pickles, gifts, dairy, wine, and other goodies.
Hayground School Farmers’ Market (151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, www.facebook.com) returns on Friday, May 23. It will feature produce, seedlings, herbs, wine, cheese, fish and seafood, baked goods, jams, honey, olive oil, ice cream, nuts, pet treats, and make sure you try the pizza from Hayground School’s wood-burning oven.
The Sag Harbor Farmers’ Market (Intersection of Bay Street and Burke Street, Sag Harbor, sagharborfarmersmarket.org) debuts on Saturday, May 17. Salt, bakery items, olive oil and vinegar, microgreens, dog treats, fish, vegetables, coffee and wine, and honey will be available for purchase.
The East Hampton Farmers’ Market (136 North Main Street, East Hampton, www.facebook.com) is open Fridays, beginning May 23, and will run through August 29. 22 vendors will have items on display between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Springs Farmers’ Market (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, www.facebook.com) debuts Memorial Day Weekend at Ashawagh Hall. Stop by Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Montauk Farmers’ Market (On the Village Green, Montauk, www.montaukchamber.com) returns Thursday, June 12, and is every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., through October 9. If they can “Bake it, Catch it, Grow it” you can purchase it, and proceeds benefit the Montauk Food Pantry.
The Shelter Island Farmers Market (16 South Ferry Road, Shelter Island, www.facebook.com) starts Saturday, June 7. Held on the historic grounds of the 1743 James Havens Homestead, the Market will be open 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and showcases produce from local farms as well as eggs, honey, jams, and baked goods.
