Two East End organizations are joining forces with local culinary experts on Sunday, April 17th to present “A Moveable Feast.”

“The Joshua Levine Memorial Foundation and Slow Food East End will host ‘A Moveable Feast,’ an evening of Food, Drink, and Community to celebrate the legacy of Josh Levine and support Edible School Gardens on the East End,” explained Darlene Salatto Rose. “This event is enthusiastically supported by the community featuring food, drink and silent auction items donated from an impressive line-up of prominent chefs, restaurants, local farms, fishermen, restaurants, vineyards, breweries, artisanal purveyors and merchants on the East End, including food grown in our very own school gardens!”

From 4 to 7 p.m., guests will gather at Dodds & Eder Landscape Design Showroom in Sag Harbor to appreciate bites and sips from an exciting roster of well-known chefs, restaurants, artisanal purveyors, wineries and breweries. Attendees can taste test a wide array of savory “small plate” favorites from Jeri Woodhouse, A Taste of the North Fork; Cheryl Stair, Art of Eating; Sam McCleland, Bell & Anchor; Taylor Knapp, Bruce & Sons featuring PawPaw Pop-Up; Carissa Waechter, Carissa’s Breads; John Yashinowski, Crow’s Nest; Debbie Geppert, Dreesen’s Catering; Jeremy Blutstein, East by Northeast; Peter Ambrose, Endless Summer Catering; Colin Ambrose, Estia’s Little Kitchen; Gretchen Menser, Fresno; Jennilee Morris, Grace & Grit; Christine Clemmons, Hampton Haute; Rachel Flatley, Honest Man Restaurant Group; Art Ludlow, Mecox Bay Dairy; Mike Doall & Mike Martinsen, Montauk Shellfish Co.; Noah Schwartz, Noah’s; Claudia Fleming, North Fork Table & Inn; Erik Nodeland & Bobby Abrams, Red Bar/Little Red; Shinnecock Shellfish Co.; Scott Kampf, Southampton Social Club; Shawn Christman, The Sea Bean Natural Foods Co.; Paul LaBue, The Seafood Shop Catering Co.; Gilberto Chico, Vine Street Café; and Larry Kolar, Westlake Fish House. And attendees can wash down the superb fare with options from Brewology 295, Channing Daughters Winery, Duckwalk Vineyards, Kontokosta Winery, Lieb Cellars, Macari Vineyards, Martha Clara Vineyards, Montauk Brewing Co., Palmer Vineyards, Paumanok Vineyards, Raphael Vineyards, Roanoke Vineyards, Shelter Island Craft Brewery, Sweet’tauk Lemonade, and Wölffer Estate Vineyard.

All proceeds from “A Moveable Feast” will benefit the Edible School Gardens Program, and will support stipends for Master Farmers, mini-grants for school gardens, procuring supplies to ensure local schools cultivate a fruitful garden, and other initiates. Out of all 27 school garden programs in the United States, the East End is responsible for one of the largest, most prosperous school garden programs. This event is a vital reason for the program’s growth and continued success throughout the years.

Tickets are $100 per person for Slow Food members and $150 for non-members.

Dodds & Eder Landscape Design Showroom is located at 11 Bridge Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, visit slowfoodeastend.org.
