On Sunday, July 16, join the Ludlow family at the grand opening of their first ever onsite store at Mecox Bay Dairy! From 12 to 3 p.m. attendees will enjoy BBQ, cheese tastings and farm tours in honor of the grand opening of The Farm Store at Mecox Bay Dairy.
Mecox Bay Dairy is the South Fork’s only local dairy farm and is known throughout Long Island for their artisan cheese, grass-fed beef and pastured pork. Art Ludlow founded Mecox Bay Dairy in 2003, but the Ludlow’s have been farming on their land on Mecox Road since 1875. They are dedicated to sustainable, ethical farming and appreciation for their farms landscape.
Today, they craft artisan cheeses made from raw milk provided by their herd of more than 20 cows. The Ludlow’s cheeses have won awards from the American Cheese Society and have been featured on Barefoot Contessa.
Mecox Bay Dairy products can be found at Long Island farmer’s markets, local cheese shops and restaurants. This marks the first time that their products have been sold at their farm. The Farm Store will also sell meats, cheeses and also new offerings.
The Farm Store at Mecox Bay Dairy will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, starting Monday, July 17.
Mecox Bay Dairy is located at 855 Mecox Road in Bridgehampton. For more information visit www.mecoxdairy.com.
