Be sure to bring your appetite to Hayground School in Bridgehampton on Friday, August 11 as food trucks from Manhattan to Montauk, and everywhere in between, will converge from 4 to 7 p.m. for the 6th annual Edible East End‘s The Great Food Truck Derby, with entertainment provided by The Shockwaves.
“A host of food trucks will be serving up samples of their most popular items – from cheesesteaks and beignets, to pulled chicken sliders and Greek gyros,” shared Michaela Johnson, the event coordinator. “On top of the food, guests can also look forward to grabbing cold drinks and enjoying live music from The Shockwaves.”
This year’s food truck participants include Anewyoricanthing, Blondie’s Bake Shop, Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks, Dressen’s Famous Donuts Truck, Eat Me Drink Me, Elegant Eats, Hampton Coffee Co. Mobile Espresso Unit, King Andrew Cheese, Nice Buns Slammin’ Sliders, Noah’s on the Road, OPA! On the Go, Pizza Luca, The Inn Spot… Out!, The Sea Bean Natural Food Co., and Whole Le Crepe, while beverage participants include Blue Point Brewing Company, Black Hog Brewing Co., The Lenz Winery, Elmhurst Milked, Harmless Harvest, Health- Ade Kombucha, Purity Organic, and Wainscott Main Wine and Spirit.
“The Derby is on, rain or shine, and we can’t wait to dig in!” added Johnson.
And, if you’re not stuffed enough after the food smorgasbord, or just want to take the night off of making dinner, the Hayground School Community Farmers Market will once again coincide with the The Great Food Truck Derby, and proceeds from the event will benefit Hayground schoolyard projects in the region.
Admission is $65 for adults, which includes one serving at each food truck and three complimentary beverages. Admission is $20 for children, which includes four servings and one beverage. VIP tickets are also available for $100 per person and include early access to the food trucks at 3:30 p.m.
