Congrats to the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks for making it to Super Bowl XLVIII. If you don’t have tickets to the big game between Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson at Metlife Stadium, here are six touchdown worthy cocktails to serve while watching the battle for the Lombardi Trophy.

1. Blitz Bowl: Make a big batch of this punch (which serves 20) to make sure you don’t miss any big drives.

  • 750 ml Sobieski Cytron Vodka
  • 20 oz. Cranberry Juice
  • 8 oz. Lemonade
  • Fresh Strawberry slices
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Fresh Raspberries
  • Lemon slices

Directions: Add all ingredients in a punch bowl, stir and serve.

    2. Basil Hayden’s End Zone: Another great Super Bowl bash option, this bourbon and beer based punch serves 12.

  • 12 parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
  • 36 parts Light Beer
  • 12 parts Frozen Lemonade concentrate
  • 12 Lemon Wedges

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a pitcher. Pour into a highball glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

  • 1 Slim Chillers
  • 1 oz. Vodka (optional)

Directions: Choose your favorite flavor and squeeze into martini glass. Add 1 oz. vodka if desired.

    4. Bronco Bloody Maria: NFL fans know what a great arm Peyton Manning has, so here’s to the legendary Quarterback’s record-breaking season.

  • 1.5 parts Avión Silver
  • 4 parts Tomato Juice
  • 2 tsp. Horseradish
  • 1/2 part Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Dashes Hot Sauce
  • Squeeze Lemon
  • Squeeze Lime
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions: Combine ingredients in a Collins glass with ice, and stir. Do not shake. Garnish as desired.

    5. Spiced Seahawk: The scrappy Russell Wilson will certainly add some spice to Super Bowl QB scrambles.

  • 2 parts Jägermeister Spice
  • 1/2 part Apple Brandy

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir well and strain into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

    6. Half Time Honey: This “Treasure” of a drink is in honor of halftime performer Bruno Mars.

  • 1.5 parts Bärenjäger Honey and Tea
  • 1 part Rye Whiskey
  • 1/4 part Simple Syrup
  • 10 Mint Leaves
  • 3 thin Lemon Wedges

Nick & Toni’s is one of the most iconic restaurants in the Hamptons. Jeff Salaway and Toni Ross opened the space in East Hampton in 1988, and it immediately garnered well-deserved praise. The restaurant is rooted in farm-to-table Mediterranean cuisine, the philosophy being to source everything possible locally, and the menu is inspired by simply prepared seasonal produce with an emphasis on natural flavors. @nickandtonis

    • Sixty-Something: The Dance of the Eternal Souls

The east end has multiple charms that dazzle those who pause to notice. If you are disposed to spend time at beaches or boating, you understand the variety of powerful sunrises and sunsets. I call these skies the dance of the eternal souls.

I swear at the zenith of sunrises and sunsets, I feel the presence of every soul that ever existed or ever will. The east-end sky is so big and full of naturally evolving clouds, colors, and angles that it exemplifies spiritual power. There has to be a higher hand at play. One cannot create such an endless changing canvass without forces that no mortal can truly harness or even explain.
