Sometimes you just want a slice of pizza, but then that turns into two, slices, then three and before you know it, you have spent $20 on pizza slices at lunch time. Your plan of just having a slice fails, like it always does, and you were probably better off just getting a whole pie and taking half of the pie home.
But there’s a little Hamptons secret out there, and I’m going to tell you about it.
Espresso’s in Sag Harbor is a glorious Italian hole in the wall type of spot with sensational sandwiches. They are known for them, and when you walk in, it’s almost impossible to not purchase a focaccia sandwich. But if your in the mood for pizza, don’t hesitate to ask for a slice. It’s absolutely ridiculous what will be severed to you.
For less than $4, a “slice” of pizza at Espresso’s is the equivalent of what would be three slices of pizza at any other pizza place. It’s enormous for a slice standard. They don’t even serve it to you on a plate, they give it to you in a small pizza box that it barely fits in. It is also, my friends, a really, really good slice of pizza.
If you’re looking for a super cheap lunch or dare I say it, dinner, the mammoth pizza slice that they serve you at Espresso’s is the way to go. You’re welcome
