Even though their first race is still a few months away, Hamptons Marathon, Inc. is already preparing for the 2015 Bridgehampton Half and Hamptons Marathon. The East End organization recently announced that they have teamed up with TRN for the 2015 season.
TRN is an on-demand network of exercise, Pilates, yoga, and swim experts. The runner specific training program works with marathoners to design tailored workouts for all abilities, from beginner to advanced. TRN matches runners with a qualified, pre-vetted specialist, who will come to any location, like your home, gym, office, or outdoor park, and customize each session based on your needs, goals, obstacles and expectations. The tailored program will assist Hamptons Marathon, Inc. registrants, no matter if they are entering their first half-marathon or their fiftieth marathon.
A fall favorite, the Hamptons Marathon has sold out for the past seven years. In 2014, runners from 35 states and 6 countries participated in the East End marathon, which travels through Amagansett, Springs and East Hampton with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Napeague Bay out to the Long Island Sound. Each year, the Hamptons Marathon chooses a few local causes to support through donations and the 2015 recipients will be announced shortly.
The Bridgehampton Half Marathon features a flat and fast course that travels through Sagaponack and Bridgehampton, finishing near Bridgehampton Village. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bridgehampton Museum and Southampton Hospital.
Registration is currently open for the 2015 Bridgehampton Half (bridgehamptonhalf.com) on Saturday, May 9th and the 2015 Hamptons Marathon (www.hamptonsmarathon.com) on Saturday, September 26th.
