If you’ve been scouring Pinterest and magazines for the inspiration of an upcoming home update or just simply adore an impeccably decorated abode, mark your calendars because this new East End event is a must-attend. Next month the inaugural Hamptons Contemporary will debut at the Southampton Elks Fairgrounds. The brainchild of ArtHamptons founder Rick Friedman, the first-ever Hamptons-based design and décor-oriented fair will feature a juried collection of over 150 design-driven and lifestyle-focused home and outdoor brands.
“I like to think that I helped make art collecting into the new non-contact sport in the Hamptons,” said Friedman, who hopes Hamptons Contemporary will have the same effect.
Hosted in a spectacular 40,000 square foot modular pavilion, the three-day interactive, consumer and trade show will provide fairgoers with the opportunity to discover their muse as they browse through striking design and sophisticated decor. The fair’s mission is to emphasize the significance of remarkable design, showcase a variety of unique selections, and allow attendees to explore their own personal design style.

“Many homeowners are not aware of the latest trends, sustainable and natural materials, technology innovations, and striking design products that are available in the marketplace today,” explained Friedman. “Many of these can better reflect your individuality and the distinctive Hamptons lifestyle. We define the many ways to splurge on your home to make a personal statement and presentation.”
Participants will range from elite brands to flawlessly fashioned artisanal works from across the globe, as well as a carefully curated section of interior design vignettes and visionary architect models.
An Opening Night Preview, hosted by Architectural Digest and benefiting Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF), will take place on Friday, June 3rd, from 5 to 8 p.m. Show hours are Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
General admission is $20 per person per day. VIP admission is $100 per person and includes entry to Opening Night Preview and all-access throughout the weekend.
