New York-Based Lifestyle Brand Selects The Hamptons For Latest Outpost

Faherty, a popular New York-based lifestyle brand founded by identical twins Alex and Mike Faherty, is heading to the sea – with a new outpost opening in the Hamptons this summer.

The Sag Harbor store, which is expected to open over Memorial Day weekend, will feature the brand’s coastal inspired casual wear collections for men, women and children.

“We love visiting the Hamptons, but what’s special about Sag Harbor is that it’s a small town at heart – it reminds us of where Mike and I grew up as kids,” said Faherty CEO and co-founder, Alex Faherty. “It’s family oriented, with a lot of mom-and-pop shops and a welcoming tight-knit local community, and we’re thrilled to be part of the unique landscape on Main Street.”

Faherty family friend Ryan Lawson, who was dubbed one of NYC’s best interior designers by New York Magazine, will co-design the quaint 800-square foot space with the founders’ mother, Ninie Norris. Like Faherty’s other stores, shoppers can expect a “beach house” aesthetic with an eye-catching custom built pergola situated at the heart of the store and a linen cloth tented swimwear area located in the back. The store will pay homage to the Village’s nautical history with marine inspired pecky cypress that will adorn the walls. Lawson and Norris will accentuate the space with striking antiques and ornamental collectables.

The Fahertys, who grew up in Spring Lake, NJ, launched their namesake brand in 2013. After saying goodbye to corporate employment in private equity and designing at Ralph Lauren, the surf enthusiasts decided to use love for the outdoors as inspiration for their next endeavor; creating an eco-friendly swimwear collection. The brothers expanded on the successful line with a selection of casual contemporary clothing. The brand is known for its ethnic-inspired motifs, sun-faded shades and super cozy pre-washed textiles. Faherty primarily uses sustainable fabrics, including organic cotton, true indigo dyes, and their signature swimwear is crafted with recycled plastic bottles.

In addition to the new Hamptons outpost, Faherty has two stores in Manhattan, two stores in California, one store in Boston and a seasonal spot in Nantucket.

Faherty will be open year round, Monday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
