The Maestro Cares Foundation, co-founded by international music icon Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cárdenas, held an exclusive cocktail reception on August 22nd, 2024, hosted by Power Lawyer David Hryck in Southampton, New York, and co-hosted by Supermodel Karolina Kurkova. It was attended by an intimate group of supporters, special guests, and celebrity attendees dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children across Latin America and the United States, including Kelly Cutrone, Fern Mallis, Kelly Bensimon, Joanna Bennett (daughter of Tony Bennett), designer Cameron Alastaire (who will make his NYFW debut on September 11), Michael Sheldrick (Global Citizen Co-Founder), Patti Kim of Live Nation and Maestro Cares Foundation board members Elena Sotomayor and Perla Casasnovas.
Hosts David Hryck and Karolina Kurkova welcomed guests with heartfelt remarks, followed by a powerful speech from Maestro Cares Foundation’s Fundraising Manager, Paola Ferrario. Paola highlighted the Foundation’s ongoing projects and emphasized the critical role of community support in furthering the Foundation’s mission. The evening was filled with like-minded philanthropists and featured a special live performance by the legendary Wyclef Jean, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere for all in attendance. Wyclef was introduced to Antonia Bennett, the daughter of Tony Bennett, and after an impromptu rehearsal, the duo took to the stage to perform their own rendition of “Summertime”, by George Gershwin that many said they would remember for the rest of their life.
Throughout the evening, guests were reminded of the importance of their support and they were invited to continue their involvement by attending the upcoming Maestro Cares Foundation 11th Annual Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala. The Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala will be held on December 10th, 2024, at the prestigious Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. This highly anticipated event will feature a special performance by co-founder Marc Anthony and promises to be an extraordinary night dedicated to raising essential funds for the Foundation’s work.
