The Baker Farm Reserve: New Summer Pop-Up Serves Cookies for a Cause

What could make the perfect Sagaponack summer setting even sweeter? Cookies for a cause! Every week, this new pop-up at The Baker Farm Reserve will sell amazing, handmade cookies, with 100% of the proceeds going to great causes.

Efforts like The Baker Farm Reserve Cookie Pop-up capture the Hamptons at its most local, generous, and inviting. Set against an unbelievable backdrop during the season’s busiest stretch, it transforms a simple pleasure into something joyful and deeply rooted in community. With every cookie shared, the pop-up offers visitors a sweet taste of summer while extending that goodwill to causes that need and deserve support.

Fresh cookies are almost always great, but these are even sweeter because I stopped by for the pop-up’s first-ever opening. It pays to take a morning drive South of the Highway in Sagaponack.

Each week’s pop-up will take place on Thursdays or Fridays, with a social media announcement every Sunday featuring the date for the following week. Follow @bakerfarmreserve on Instagram for updates.

Cookie flavors will rotate in and out weekly, with Blueberry Cobbler, Double Chocolate Chunk, and Rainbow Sprinkle Sugar always in attendance, while the other three flavors may change.

Lauren is obsessed with the Art of the Perfect Cookie, and she bakes everything herself. A million miles from a Nestle factory. When I say these are comfort and flavor-focused, rather than health-focused, take that as a compliment. “I don’t bake saltines,” jokes Lauren. We’re here for it! “Our cookies have all the bells and whistles that a great cookie should have!”

From the farmstand, visitors are surrounded by beautiful lavender fields, and Lauren confirms that fresh lavender and lavender-inspired products will be available for purchase.

Just over the bridge on Bridge Lane, this is the Hamptons at its most bucolic. Kids playing by Smith Cove, learning how to fish; farm views that seem to go on forever. Of course, the beaches are beautiful, but pop-ups like this highlight how engaged the Hamptons community is.

Founder and head cookie maker Lauren is right at home at the charming cookie stand – elegant, effortless, friendly. The Baker Reserve Farm’s mission is notable: “…to combine the warmth of homemade baking with the power of philanthropy, fostering generosity, compassion, and community support across New York State.”

And I have to say, the cookie tastes even better than the warm feeling of supporting back-to-school initiatives.

In the time that I stopped by, at least 10 people showed up with the same question, “whatcha got?” Excited to see the curiosity a cookie can create!
