Veterinarians International hosted “Trunks of Love: a Night of Elephants and Champagne” in honor of World Elephant Day on Friday. Held at the Baker House in East Hampton, the evening toasted to Christie Brinkley for her “passionate humanitarianism, achievements in animal advocacy, and leadership in championing the cause of elephants” as well as elephant expert Richard Lair.

Pro surfer Balaram Stack, Michael Dweck, Justin Portman, and Surf Lodge owner Jayma Cardoso attended the Surfrider Two Coasts: One Ocean benefit at Eddie Ecker State Park in Montauk. The Saturday evening event included the premiere of filmmaker and pro surfer Mikey DeTemple’s short film – narrated by actor John Slattery – that covers the issues affecting our coastline.
