On Thursday, August 1, Dame Julie Andrews and friends were spotted comparing 1988 vintages of Burgundy and Oregon wines during dinner at The 1770 House. The East Hampton eatery also welcomed Candace Bergen over weekend, as well as David Sedaris, who stopped by after his show at Guild Hall and was greeted by patrons with a standing ovation. LongHouse Reserve Founder Jack Larsen commemorated his 92nd birthday on the patio garden at The 1770 House, where Ina Garten and Jeffrey Garten also happened to be dining nearby.

Zoe headed to Montauk on Friday for an intimate dinner held in celebration of The Jet Set Summer with The Zoe Report, which took place at The Surf Lodge. Group Executive Chef Danila Bogdan of Bluebird London NYC and queensyard restaurants treated guests to a delicious menu that included dishes like Heirloom tomato with smoked ricotta and Montauk Seabass, which were paired with Whispering Angel rosé. In addition to Zoe, guests included SoulCycle’s Laurie Cole, Taryn Toomey, Joey Zauzig, Oliver and Sacha Benz, Marisa Hochberg and Jayma Cardoso. On Sunday, designer Kit Keenan, actor Olmo Schnabel and model Luka Sabbat caught the Thievery Corporation concert at the Montauk hotspot.

Katie Lee hosted the 8th Annual Hamptons Paddle For Pink at Havens Beach in Sag Harbor on Saturday morning. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) raised $650,000 at its signature Hamptons summer fundraiser. The morning’s WPA sanctioned paddle board race supported BCRF’s mission to end breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.

Also on Saturday morning, The Hills: New Beginnings star, Whitney Port hosted a workout class with Dumbo-based fitness studio Punch Pedal House at The Montauk Beach House with Harmless Harvest.

Connie Britton stopped by Bostwick’s Chowder House on Saturday. The actress enjoyed lunch with friends, noshing on a fish taco, lobster roll and more. Alex Guarnaschelli was also spotted at the East Hampton eatery. On Sunday, the Food Network star and chef and a friend enjoyed a lobster taco, baked clams, clam strips appetizer, lobster roll and more.

One Health, this year’s Veterinarians International (VI) fundraising gala, welcomed more than 220 luminaries and philanthropists to the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club on Saturday. The sold out event raised over $225,000 in support of VI’s diverse veterinary programs around the world. VI Ambassadors and animal advocates Christine Evangelista and Dwayne Hill served as Master of Ceremonies.

The tenth annual Apollo in the Hamptons was held at the East Hampton home of Apollo Vice Chairman, Ronald O. Perelman. Once again the Apollo Theater benefit brought out several notable names in support of the Apollo’s artistic, educational, and outreach programs. Guests included Woody Harrelson, Spike Lee, Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld, Jeff Gordon, Don Johnson, Anjelica Huston, Carey Lowell, Jane Rosenthal, and more – while the blowout concert, which was produced by Mark Ronson, featured sets by the Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band, The Isley Brothers, Maggie Rogers, Patti LaBelle, Pharrell Williams, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bon Jovi, and Joseph Simmons from Run – DMC along with special appearances by Gary U.S. Bonds and Vusi Mahlasela, and The Roots as the live house band.

On Sunday, the 8th Annual Hamptons Polo Cup, presented by Cartier, took place at Equuleus Farm in Water Mill. The match featured Team NetJets and Team Guggenheim, with Team NetJets taking home top honors. The Cup raised over $500,000 in support of the Robin Hood Foundation. Attendees included Christie Brinkley, Jack Brinkley Cook, Nina Agdal, and more.

On the final day of the Week of Hope, Audrey Gruss, Arthur Dunnam, and Grand Marshals Sailor Brinkley Cook and Jack Brinkley Cook led Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s fourth annual Race of Hope around Lake Agawam in Southampton. 100% of proceeds from the Race will fund groundbreaking research into the root causes of depression in the brain and new and better treatments.

Watermelon Margarita

● Ingredients
○ 2oz Blanco tequila
○ 1 oz watermelon juice
○ 1 oz lime juice
○ .75 oz simple syrup

● Method
○ Juice lime and watermelon fresh. Make a 1:1 simple syrup with cane sugar.
○ Combine all ingredients in a shaking tin and shake—fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish
with a lime wedge and drink!
