Veterinarian Dr. Scarlett Magda and Georgina Bloomberg are hosting a free night of Film, Fur, and Fin in order to raise awareness about local conservation initiatives and celebrate our oceans on Thursday, August 22.
Educators from the Quogue Wildlife Refuge will bring along animals to help inform guests on the importance of conserving our wildlife. Attendees will be able to view other exhibits including a live touch-tank demonstration from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County SPAT (Southold Project in Aquaculture Training) program. The night will also feature special screenings of “Mission of Mermaids” by Susan Rockefeller and “Planet Ocean” by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Potriot. Guests are advised to bring a blanket or beach chair.
The event is being held at Silas Marder Gallery in Bridgehampton beginning at 7 p.m. Interactive educational exhibits and films start at 8:15 p.m. until 10 p.m.
