Hamptons Pink Apron Party Features All-Female Cast Of Renowned Chefs

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation will sponsor the Pink Apron Party benefit event in support of the Ellen Hermanson Breast Cancer Center on Saturday August 17, from 7 to 10 p.m. The event will be hosted by celebrity chef Anne Burrell and chaired by Christie Brinkley, B. Smith, and Dan Gasby.

The evening will feature a menu prepared by an all-female cast of 23 of the area’s most renowned chefs. The list of contributors includes Iron Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli of the Darby Restaurant in New York, the Food Network’s Anne Burrell, and Jessica Craig of Nick and Toni’s.

The proceeds from the dinner party will help support the Ellen Hermanson Breast Cancer Center at Southampton Hospital. The Ellen Hermanson Foundation has already pledged more than $1 million to support the Center and will donate an additional $220,000 to purchase a 3D mammography machine.

The following day, Sunday August 18, the Foundation will be hosting its annual edition of Ellen’s Run. The 5k race is the organization’s signature fundraising event, and like the Foundation and Breast Cancer Center, is named after the late Ellen Hermanson who dedicated her life to breast cancer related activism even while fighting to stave off the disease within herself.
