On Saturday, July 26, 2014, The Watermill Center will yet again bring together the spheres of theater, art, fashion, design and society for their 21st Annual Summer Benefit, “One Thousand Nights and One Night: Sleepless Nights of Sheherazade.” Last year’s gala, “Devil’s Haven,” was attended by Lady Gaga, Winona Ryder, and Hugh Jackman.
Watermill International Summer Program Participants from over 25 countries will come together to produce installations and performances spread over the eight and a half acres of grounds during the soiree. Proceeds will support The Watermill Center’s year round, Artist Residency Programs, which provide a unique environment for young and emerging artists to explore and develop new work.
Mouton Rothschild will provide the wine, the spirits will be provided by Casamigos Tequila, Hendrick’s Gin, Sag Harbor Rum, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Guests can also sip on beer provided by Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Illycaffè and Voss Artesian Water from Norway will provide additional beverages.
Auction highlights include work by, Ross Bleckner, Susan Meiselas, Martin Schoeller, Chuck Webster and many others. Fendi, Giorgio Armani and Prada will provide experiences during the night.
“One Thousand Night and One Night” will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 6 p.m. Tickets begin at $500.
