Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum is inviting East End residents and visitors to celebrate the holiday season during their first annual Holiday Cocktail Party.
Help the Hamptons Museum spread some seasonal cheer on Saturday, December 6, 2014, when attendees will have a rare opportunity to visit the Museum during the Yuletide season. From 5 to 7 p.m., guests will meet in the festively decorated Sage Parlor to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and live music including jazz from Steve Shaugnessy and a holiday set from local carolers. The debut holiday party will feature the return of Sabina Streeter’s “Captains, Mates, + Widows,” for one night only. Partygoers will also have the chance to take home a special Christmas whale ornament.
“We can’t think of a better way to close out the 2014 season than by celebrating our good fortune to live in such a vibrant, generous community,” noted the Museum. “We look forward to a bright, happy, and successful New Year for us all.”
Tickets are $25, and those who can’t attend the gathering can still support the Whaling Museum by donating to their Capital Campaign.
