The Thomas Moran Trust, an East Hampton-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and preserving the Moran Studio, gardens and outbuildings, is hosting “In the Artist’s Garden,” a summer cocktail party. Proceeds from the evening will support the ongoing restoration of the Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran Studio, one of the first National Historic Landmarks established in America in 1965.
“In the Artist’s Garden” will take place on Saturday, June 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. Held at the Spring’s home of Pietro and Katherine Nivola, attendees will enjoy cocktails and conversations in the studio of the late Costantino and Ruth Nivola, East End modernists and artists from the mid-1900s.
The event is designed to pay tribute to people like the Nivola’s and other artists of the summer colony in the late-19th century.
Tickets for “In the Artist’s Garden” are $300. Junior Tickets (ages 40 and under) are available for $150.
The home of Pietro and Katherine Nivola is located at 410 Old Stone Highway in Springs. For more information, call 631-324-0100 or visit thomasmorantrust.org..
