Parrish Art Museum director Terrie Sultan will host the Museum’s annual Midsummer Party on Saturday, July 11th. The Hamptons summer highlight will bring together art collectors, artists, socialites, entertainers, philanthropists, and business leaders from the Hamptons and beyond. The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. and the After Ten Party at 10 p.m.
Attendees will also be treated to the Museum’s current exhibitions of world-class artwork, including Chuck Close’s photographs, Tara Donovan’s new site-specific sculptures, and a selection of works from the Museum’s permanent collection.
For the Museum’s decor, Ron Wendt Design drew inspiration from Chuck Close’s “Anthurium” and “Chrysanthemum” photographs. The Midsummer Party will showcase a dramatic Museum transformation, with sharp acid green tablecloths contrasting the black wood paneled walls of the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace. The chartreuse stems of Midori anthurium and Fuji chrysanthemum flowers will fill the tables, popping out from an eclectic and whimsical collection of green tinted bottles and vases.
Tickets begin at $1,500. After Ten Tickets are $200 and will grant access to the dancing, drinks, and dessert from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 631-283-2118 ext. 133 or visit www.parrishart.org.
