Animal Rescue Fund Of The Hamptons Hosting Annual Thrift Shop Designer Showhouse And Sale

The best kind of shopping is when you do it for a good cause! Join the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) on Saturday, May 28th for a day of designer shopping at the 6th Annual ARF Thrift Shop Designer Showhouse and Sale. Top interior decorators will transform the ARF Thrift & Treasure Shop in Sagaponack into a luxury shop from top to bottom. And, the best part about the event is 100 percent of proceeds will directly support the lifesaving work at ARF.

ARF rescues cats and dogs, and also provides quality care for the shelter animals until loving homes can be found for them. The organization was founded in 1974 and is now considered the leading animal adoption center on the East End.

The 6th Annual ARF Thrift Shop Designer Showhouse and Sale is co-chaired by Gordon Hoppe, Gigi Mahon, Lisa McCarthy, Alex Papachristidis and Marshall Watson. This year’s Honorary Chair is Mary McDonald.

Some of the top designers featured at this Showhouse are Sam Allen, Tracey Cavaniola, Nancy Corzine, John Stedila and Tim Button, Lynda Sylvester and Eldon Wong. What makes this event incredibly unique is that every item displayed will be for sale.

Jennifer Rockford, Director of Philanthropy at ARF, is truly ecstatic for this year’s Showhouse. “The true excitement behind this event is two-fold: the first is the opportunity to see the rooms that have been created by these amazing talents out of items from the Thrift Shop, while the second is the ability to purchase everything that is inside of them, from knick knacks to couches and beyond, and knowing that all every dollar spent helps care for the cats and dogs at the Adoption Center while they await a Show House of their very own,” she said.

The event will kick off with an exclusive preview hour cocktail reception beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are $250. General admission will open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $150.

If you’re not able to make Saturday’s events, the ARF Thrift Shop Designer Showhouse and Sale will also be open to the public on Sunday, May 29th and Monday, May 30th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The suggested donation fee for visitors is $10, and complimentary for children.
