Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa in Montauk is hosting a Girls Night Out to benefit the Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital on Friday, November 18th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Enjoy an evening of wine and cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, raffles, spa pampering, dancing, and more!
“We look forward to hosting a fun night at Gurney’s that goes to such a great cause,” shared Michael Nenner of Gurney’s Montauk. “The Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital is an incredible organization, and we are happy to support in any way we can.”
Treatments include a mini manicure, chair massage, hair quickie, pink extensions, and an eyelash application, and there will also be extra perks! The Hampton Jitney is offering free transportation: four stops from Hampton Bays to Gurney’s. There will also be special room rates available at Gurney’s and 20 percent spa discounts the day after Girls Night Out.
“People think that because we live in the Hamptons, our non-profits don’t really need help,” said Susie Roden, CWC President. “Quite the opposite is true. We have a large year-round community of working class people. They are your teachers, waiters, landscapers, and small business owners. And, out here on Long Island we have one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the country.”
Roden and Stacy Quarty, Vice President of CWC, have also spearheaded the local “Give Where You Live” (GWYL) campaign and invited other not-for-profits to join them in an effort to put the spotlight on local charities in need. To learn more about the GWYL campaign, visit www.givewhereyoulivehamptons.org.
Tickets are $45 in advance and $60 at the door. Support Level tickets are $75 with a choice of one treatment, while the Empowerment Level tickets cost $150 with a choice of one treatment, psychic reading, five raffle tickets, and a gift bag.
Coalition for Women’s Cancers is an East End-based, volunteer-driven group that has created a supportive network for women affected by breast, ovarian and uterine cancers. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness for early detection, better health care and an improved quality of life.
