“The Sag Harbor Historical Society invites you to our Annual Holiday Party,” shared Nancy Remkus. “Take a step back in time and enjoy the holiday season at the beautiful Annie Cooper Boyd House on Main Street in Sag Harbor.”
Taking place on Sunday, December 18th from 3 to 5 p.m., the festive soiree is open to the entire community.
“There will be refreshments and decorations for the season,” she noted. “The Dr. Miles Exhibit will still be up – last chance to see it – and a slide show of Sag Harbor historical photos gifted to us this year will be running.”
This is your chance to “celebrate the season in traditional Sag Harbor style” as you admire vintage Sag Harbor photos, learn more about Dr. Edgar Miles – a pioneer of herbal medicine in the 1800s – from the Plants, Pills, and Poultices: The Life and Times of Dr. Edgar Miles, Sag Harbor’s 19th Century Medical Rebel exhibit, warm up with hot tea, nosh on baked goods, including Annie’s peppermint cake, socialize with old pals and get acquainted with new friends.
Admission to the Sag Harbor Historical Society’s Annual Holiday Party is free, but donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
“It is a wonderful holiday tradition,” added Remkus.
Founded in 1985 and incorporated in 1989, the Sag Harbor Historical Society’s mission is to “promote and encourage public education and appreciation of Sag Harbor history; and to work for the preservation of historic buildings and sites; and to foster the preservation of the historic character of the village.”
