On Saturday, June 24, The Wellness Foundation will honor author and co-founder of Yoga Vida, Hilaria Baldwin, with the Wellness Foundation’s Illumination Award during the organization’s 6th annual summer benefit at Mulford Farm in East Hampton. From 6 to 8 p.m., partygoers will enjoy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Vegan Iron Chef winner Jay Astafa, cocktails and live music from MTK the Band.
“She really is an amazing individual. She is a busy wife and mother of three young children, an author, yoga instructor and wellness advocate,” explained Vice-President and Executive Director of Education and Programs Jennifer Taylor about Baldwin. “We love the way she is raising her children to be healthy, kind and compassionate. This mirrors what we teach in our WKids children’s programming.”
The Illumination Award is given to an individual who the Foundation believes uses their life to light the path of wellness for those around them. “Hilaria uses her social media presence and her work with clients and as an author to help people lead their best lives,” said Taylor.
The Wellness Foundation will use the proceeds from the benefit towards educational programming in public schools spanning from Southampton to Montauk. The Foundation focuses on programs that empower children and their families to take control of their health destinies and become the “generation of change”.
Additionally, Baldwin will be signing copies of her book, The Living Clearly Method, at the benefit. She focuses on many ideas represented by the Wellness Foundation in her book, which emphasizes her personal health journeys and sets examples for her readers to follow. “She is a true wellness warrior and change agent who is using her life to make the world a happier and healthier place for all our children,” added Taylor.
Tickets to the Wellness Foundation’s 6th annual summer benefit are $175.
