The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill will welcome supporters for a festive evening of dining, dancing, and more during the Museum’s annual Midsummer Party on Saturday, July 15.
“The Midsummer Party has always been more a party than a fundraiser,” said Parrish Art Museum Director Terrie Sultan. “The event provides an opportunity for the broader creative and cultural community to connect, and for us all to celebrate beauty and the profound ability of art to change lives.”
The event will start at 7 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace at 8 p.m. The evening will also feature a live auction of extraordinary experiences and extravagant items, as well as the exclusive preview of the 2017 Platform exhibition, Clifford Ross: Light | Waves, and access to the Museum’s ongoing exhibitions, including John Graham: Maverick Modernist and The Permanent Collection: Materiality and Process.
“Everyone in the room joyously engages with one another,” noted Sultan. “That’s why the Midsummer Party is such a great evening.”
This year’s Midsummer Party will commemorate the Parrish’s 2017 Platform artist Clifford Ross and American philanthropist, art patron, collector, and arts education advocate Agnes Gund.
