It’s time for a fashion show with a cause! Independent Group Home Living Program, Inc. (IGHL) is hosting their 9th annual Fashion Fling & Luncheon at Westhampton County Club on Sunday, October 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. IGHL provides services for men, women, and children who have intellectual disabilities.
“This event is about bringing women together who support IGHL and its mission,” said Dori Geier, Co-Founder of the IGHL Luncheon & Fashion Fling with Mary Beth Lichtneger, IGHL’s Chief Financial Officer. “This event recognizes these women as being a vital part of IGHL’s family and in this way we honor them.”
Willis Towers Watson has been the event’s sponsor for the last nine years. 1800FLOWERS will generously adorn each table with beautiful bouquets. Additional sponsors include Jackson Lewis, Cafaro Greenleaf Investments, NFP and United Healthcare. Greg Williams Quartet will bring the event to life with their highly acclaimed music.
“This year’s fashion fling and luncheon will benefit the Gregory House, a home for six women with intellectual disabilities, in Riverhead,” stated Lichtneger. “We’d like to put an addition on the house of two bedrooms so all the women have their own room.”
IGHL is delighted to be working with Janine Nebons, G.M. Tanger Outlets Riverhead, sponsors of the fashion show for the fourth straight year and Chico’s Outlet, whose fashions will be worn by the models. Nebons will be emceeing the fashion show and share some insider tips on how to get the most out of outlet shopping.
“Working in concert with our retail partner Chico’s Outlet and other Tanger retailers, we are happy to support IGHL’s mission to provide quality programs, services and support for the intellectually-disabled,” said Nebons. “IGHL’s work on Long Island is essential to serving those individuals that need assistance on many levels. We know the annual Fashion Show is a perfect fit for Tanger Outlets and IGHL and look forward to showcasing great fall fashion!”
