The 18th Annual Midsummer Night Drinks, in support of God’s Love We Deliver, will be held at Listowel in Water Mill on Saturday, June 9.
“We’re so excited to host our 18th annual Midsummer Night Drinks at Listowel,” said David Ludwigson, Vice President & CEO at God’s Love We Deliver.
From 6 to 9 p.m., attendees are invited to join God’s Love We Deliver for an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the magnificent 12,000 sq. ft. private home that offers spectacular views of Mecox Bay. This year’s benefit will celebrate Sam Shahid, the creator of the God’s Love We Deliver logo.
“It’s such a special way to celebrate our supporters and community, and a great kick-off to the Hamptons summer season,” Ludwigson added.
God’s Love originally launched as an HIV/AIDS service organization, but eventually expanded its reach – offering assistance to those who suffer from over 200 individual diagnoses. The non-sectarian organization not only prepares meals for those living with severe illnesses and delivers the food right to clients’ homes, but it also provides nutrition counseling – all of which is offered at no cost. God’s Love is the New York metropolitan area’s primary provider of life-sustaining meals, which Registered Dietitian Nutritionists create specifically for each client. Additionally, the organization also provides meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients.
The organization cooks over 7,000 meals each weekday, and serves all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Westchester and Nassau Counties, and Hudson County, New Jersey. 90 percent of God’s Love’s clients live below the poverty level.
Tickets to the 18th Annual Midsummer Night Drinks start at $500.
