The Shelter Island Historical Society is presenting an unforgettable affair that all are invited to on Saturday, July 21, at the Havens Barn and Grounds.
“Black & White is the premier fundraiser for the Shelter Island Historical Society,” Elizabeth Lones of Shelter Island Historical Society explained. “It supports the educational programs, general operating fund, collections and archives.”
The themed fundraising event, co-chaired by Kiki Boucher and Carla Rykowski, will include a sit-down dinner, drinks, dancing, a silent auction and the chance to have a black and white portrait done.
This year’s benefit will introduce several new features, including a fabulous signature cocktail and dinner catered by Noah’s restaurant.
Black & White favorites Alice’s Fish Market will return with their Raw Bar and professional photographer, Eleanor Labrozzi will document the evening.
“Black & White celebrates the past, present and future of the Society,” Lones added.
The benefit begins at 6 p.m. and guests are asked to don black and white.
Admission to Black & White is $250 and $175 for Young Friends (35 and under). For those interested in just attending the Cocktail Party and Bidding, admission is $175.
The Haven Barn and Grounds are located 16 South Ferry Road in Shelter Island. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.shelterislandhistorical.org.
