With Halloween right around the corner, it’s almost time to start thinking about the holidays and the season of giving. With that in mind – on Saturday, October 27 Westhampton Beach’s The Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, and Rotary Clubs are joining forces to help restock the shelves at the Westhampton Food Pantry, which is housed at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center – during a community benefit at the Center that all are welcome at.
“The 21st annual Westhampton Beach Food Pantry Fundraiser is this Saturday, and it’s hosted by three service clubs that work together to put on great event,” Greg Menegio of the Kiwanis of Greater Westhampton noted.
From 5 to 8:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy a buffet featuring local favorites, including bites from Sydney’s Taylor Made Cuisine, dessert by SHOCK Ice Cream, coffee from Hampton Coffee Company, and dinner rolls and cookies from Beach Bakery.
Little ones can come donning their All Hallows’ Eve outfit and participate in a Halloween costume parade and accentuate their ensemble with face painting.
There will also be a straw raffle and silent auction.
Admission is $8 for children 12 and under and $20 for adults in advance, $24 for adults at the door. There will be a family discount offered – the third and fourth children get in for free with one adult and two paid children’s tickets.
Tickets are available in advance through the local Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, and Rotary Clubs, as well as at the Immaculate Conception Parish Office, Lynne’s Cards & Gifts, Flowers by Rori, and the Hentschel Agency.
Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry, a program supported by many Westhampton area churches. Proceeds from the benefit, which is the Food Pantry’s major fundraising event, will be used to procure food and other essentials for local families in need.
Immaculate Conception Parish Center is located at 580 Main Street in Westhampton Beach. For more information, visit www.facebook.com.
