The Muses Southampton will once again showcase the exceptional local food scene when Love Bites, an annual tasting event in support of Katy’s Courage, returns on Saturday, January 26.
“Love Bites is a great way to kick off the winter season on the East End!” Katy’s Courage Co-Founders Jim Steward and Brigid Collins shared. “It’s amazing to see our community come together for such a great cause.”
From 7 to 10:30 p.m., attendees will be able to savor bites from over 15 notable eateries, caterers and chefs, including Events by Peter Ambrose, Elegant Affair, Art of Eating, The Clubhouse, Bell and Anchor, Saaz, Smokin Wolf, Golden Pear, The Mill House, Almond Restaurant, Scotto’s, Silver Spoon Catering, Backyard Brine, Erica’s Rugelach, Dressen’s Donuts, Jerri’s, Clarkson Avenue Crumb Cakes, and Shock Ice Cream. As for sips, Hampton Coffee Company, Choppin Vodka, Montauk Hard Label, Saratoga Water, Montauk Brewing Company, Mezcal Sarita, Diplomatico Rum, and C & W Distributors will be highlighted.
“Our funds will be used to grow our program Katy’s Kids @ CMEE, which was formed in honor of Katy Stewart,” Steward and Collins relayed. “We will also be supporting local scholarships and pediatric cancer.” Located at the Children’s Museum of the East End, Katy’s Kids @ CMEE was founded to provide play and expressive support experiences – such as art, music, poetry, dance/movement and drama – for children and adolescents who have lost a loved one.
This year’s pre-Valentine’s multi chef soiree will celebrate The Culinary Community of the East End, with Cheryl Stair of Art of Eating and Joseph Realmuto of Honest Man Restaurant accepting the awards.
“We truly appreciate the support from all our sponsors, all local restaurants/chefs and everyone who’s involved with Love Bites,” Steward and Collins reflected.
The event will also include music by DJ Michael of East End Entertainment, a silent action, Golfers Dream Raffle, and more.
“There are so many wonderful people working behind the scenes to create what will be a wonderful event and it wouldn’t be possible without all of them. We’re looking forward to a great evening!” Steward and Collins added.
Tickets to Love Bites start at $100.
A snow date is set for Saturday, February 9.
Katy’s Courage, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was established in honor of Katy Stewart, an inspirational 12-year-old girl who passed away from a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. The organization is committed to supporting education, children’s bereavement counseling and pediatric cancer research.
