Sound Waves @ The Beach Returns To The Montauk Music Scene

“This year you can expect many great DJ performances again, but we will be more focused on talent that is currently climbing the ladder to international recognition and the opening day line-up echoes that approach,” said Mathew Thomas, Sound Waves @ The Beach Music Director and ConcertPass Founder.

Sound Waves @ The Beach, a summer music and fashion series, is once again returning to Montauk for the 7 week program, which will take place at the newly renovated Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. Opening day will include an exclusive performance from Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons. The series will launch on Saturday, July 19, and continue every Saturday from 2 p.m. till 7 p.m. through August 30. The highly anticipated kick off will also feature the Big P.A. of Band the Drum, DJ Vikas, and a fashion presentation and appearance by designer Charlotte Ronson.

“We are so excited to take Sound Waves from poolside to the beachfront,” said Ian Gerard, CEO of Syndicate-5 and Sound Waves @ The Beach Founder. “When we heard that Gurney’s was under new ownership with a plan to contemporize what is clearly the largest and most beautiful resort on the East End, we knew we had to bring Sound Waves to the Beach.” The beachside event will showcase the top DJs and live music performers as well has high-end fashion presentations weekly.

Sound Waves has partnered with Cointreau, Perrier, Heineken, UrbanDaddy, The Daily for the series. Each week will include interactive activities from the programs’ partners like a make your own Cointreau Rickey stations where attendees can mix up their own signature “garden to cocktail” drink with help from a trained bartender.
