Life@Nite: The Club Can’t Even Handle Flo Rida, #SUMMERGOALS, And More

Want to attend the official after party for the Club Can’t Handle Me singer’s Long Island concert or work on your Hamptons #SUMMERGOALS? This weekend’s your chance.

Local favorite, the Lone Sharks, is headlining at Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com) on Thursday, June 15 at 10 p.m. Friday will feature Richard Thompson (solo acoustic) at 8 p.m. and Hot Date Band at 10 p.m. Saturday will showcase another local favorite, Lynn Blue and Band, at 7 p.m., followed by The Tangiers Blues Band with Chris Scianni at 9 p.m. and Rubix Cube at 11 p.m. Close out the weekend with Homes on Sunday at 8 p.m. and Reggae Night with Majestic Band at 10 p.m. Brave enough to take the stage? Highlight your talent during Outrageous Open Mic Night on Monday at 10 p.m. Tuesday will bring Flow Tribe at 9 p.m. and Industry Night with DJ JRINVENTOR at 10 p.m. On Wednesday, Jim Turner, another beloved East End-based act, and the Ocean People featuring the Fabulous Turnetts and special guests, will take the stage at 8 p.m., followed by Karaoke with Helen “The Diva” McGuire at 10 p.m.

Montauk Beach House (55 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk, 631-668-2112, thembh.com) is teaming up with e-commerce platform, Fancy.com, to kick-off the season in style with #SUMMERGOALS, a bespoke retail experience, that will take place from Friday through Sunday. On Saturday, stock up on must-reads for the beach during a capsule collection of publications by female authors curated by Harper Collins. A select group of the authors will be in attendance for book signings. International celebrity hairstylist, Ric Pipino, will be on-site to work his magic on attendees, creating sexy, beachy hairstyles. Attendees can pick up chic beach essentials from Red Carter, a women’s high-end contemporary swimwear and resort-wear. Additionally, you can find the latest, delish Neat Nutrition products, all of which are responsibly sourced and cleanly produced. DJ May Kwok is spinning at the MBH on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., and you can find your flow during sweat yoga x Montauk Beach House on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. Hypernova’s Kodi Najm will take over the DJ booth on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Sunset sets at Wolffer Wine Stand (3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, 631-537-5106, www.wolffer.com) will feature Diego Campo on Friday and Hoo Doo Loungers on Saturday. Both shows begin at 5 p.m.

On Friday, Smokin’ Hot Tunes at Townline BBQ (3593 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, 631-537-2271, www.townlinebbq.com) will feature the Lynn Blue band from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Surf Lodge’s (183 Edgemere Street, Montauk, 631-483-5037, thesurflodge.com) Summer Concert Series will feature Penguin Prison on Friday, Wild Belle on Saturday and The Lemon Twigs on Sunday.

Swallow East (474 West Lake Drive, Montauk, 631-668-8344, www.swalloweastrestaurant.com) will have music from Strange Majik on Friday and Konekt Dat on Sunday.

Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, 631-668-1804, www.gurneysmontauk.com) will host a Summer of Wellth: Free Flow Friday to kick-off the weekend, followed by music by DJ Stef Nava at The Regent Firepit from 5 to 9 p.m. and DJ Oli Benz at The Regent Firepit from 9 p.m. to close. Saturday will bring Summer of Wellth: Y7 at 10 a.m., Summer of Wellth: Solace Body with Kenny’s at 11 a.m., music by Nicole Leone at The Beach Club from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and The Vibe Theory at The Firepit from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The final Summer of Wellth class of the weekend (on Sunday) will feature Lifted with Holly at 10 a.m., followed by Wilki at The Beach Club from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harbor East (44 3 Mile Harbor Road, 631-408 5771, www.harboreasthampton.com) will have music from DJs Jamo Willo and Nick Cohen on the decks on Friday and Saturday after 11 p.m.

AM Southampton (125 Tuckahoe Lane, Southampton, www.amsouthampton.com) will launch its “theme Friday nights” with a Hamptons Magical Zoo. Attendees are encouraged to don their jungle best and can expect snake charmers, fire dancers, bongo drums, body painting and much more. Friday night will also feature the official after party for Flo Rida’s Jones Beach concert with live performance by DJ Kronik. On Saturday, AM Southampton will have music from Fusco Fotsbeats.

The Montauk Yacht Club (32 Star Island Road, Montauk, 631-668-3100, www.montaukyachtclub.com) will have music from Chuck E. Band from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by DJ Nadia Vidal from 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday will showcase the return of DJ Nadia Vidal, who will spin from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mignonne Gavigan and Christina Bryant are co-hosting a Summer Soirée with Mignonne Gavigan x St. Frank (78 Main Street, East Hampton, stfrank.com). On Saturday, stop by from 12 to 3 p.m. to mingle with founders, sip on cocktails, receive a free pair of Lily Earrings with each purchase of $350 or more, and the first ten customers will even receive a surprise gift.

AM Southampton and Kozu are once again teaming up for their weekly whimsical Neverland Brunch Series at Kozu (136 Main Street, Southampton, www.facebook.com) on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m.

Saturday is College Night at Boardy Barn (270 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, www.boardybarn.com), meaning if you have your college ID, you’ll get in free. Boardy Barn will be open from 2 to 8 p.m.

The Watermill Center (39 Water Mill Towd Road, Water Mill, www.eventbrite.com) is hosting Hamptons Artists For Haiti, a benefit that will support Wings Over Haiti’s goal of building a new school for 400 children in need in Ranquitte, Haiti, on Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy wine donated by Channing Daughters Winery and Wölffer Estate Vineyard, cocktails featuring Sagaponack Farm Distillery Vodka and Montauk Rumrunners, hors d’oeuvres, an art show, silent auction, and live music by Alfredo Merat.

Dorian and Gary Fuhrman are welcoming East Hampton Historical Society members and supporters into their home overlooking Hook Pond during East Hampton Historical Society Presents Cocktails at Hook Pond (easthamptonhistory.org) on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Springs Tavern’s (15 Fort Pond Boulevard, East Hampton, www.thespringstavern.com) weekly Country Night will feature a complimentary line dancing class and live music from the Spaghetti Westerners. Country Night will be held on Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m.

  • Tucked inside the Sole East hotel, this hidden gem offers one of Montauk’s most relaxing dining experiences. The setting alone is worth the trip: the restaurant sits right beside a giant swimming pool ringed with loungers, where you can grab a drink, stretch out on the lawn, and settle into true Montauk fashion for the afternoon. It’s the kind of scene that makes you forget you have anywhere else to be.

But as cool as the setting is, the food is the real standout. The seafood is the star of the menu, featuring fresh fish sourced directly from the boats at Gosman’s, so what lands on your plate practically came straight off the dock. You can taste the difference immediately. Paired with seasonal vegetables and thoughtfully prepared dishes, every plate feels light, flavorful, and perfect for summer.

The drink menu deserves its own mention. Sole East’s mezcal negroni is one of the best drinks I’ve tasted. It’s smoky, balanced, and a standout on an already impressive drink menu.

From the welcoming, owner-operated atmosphere to the laid-back setting and exceptional food, Sole East is a spot we’ll gladly return to. It’s everything we love about dining in Montauk.

  • From now through July 25th, Pivotal is bringing the future we’ve all been promised to East Hampton: flying cars.

Their Helix model doesn’t require a pilot’s license to fly over eligible non-congested areas. According to Pivotal, most people can learn to fly it with just 3-4 days of training.

  • The Hamptons Greek Festival brought a little slice of Greece to the East End this year, complete with traditional music, lively dancing, and an incredible sense of community. From the moment we arrived, the energy was contagious.

I, of course, went for the food, but the festival had something for everyone. The kids loved the arts and crafts area, where they spent nearly an hour making Greek masks and bracelets while we enjoyed the festivities nearby.

One pleasant surprise was how easy everything felt. The shuttle buses made parking a breeze, and before long we were enjoying one of the best gyros we’ve had: warm pita, perfectly seasoned meat, and fresh, homemade tzatziki.

Between the music, dancing, family-friendly activities, and unforgettable food, the Hamptons Greek Fest was one of the highlights of the weekend. We’ll definitely be back next year.
