The official start to the Hamptons summer season is here, and here’s where to spend it.
Montauk:
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, www.gurneysmontauk.com) has a jam-packed holiday weekend lineup, starting with music from Dhundee on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Fire Pit. Saturday will launch with SNBRN at The Beach Club at 3 p.m., followed by the Rakiem Walker Project at The Fire Pit at 6 p.m., and Rick Wonder from 9 to 11 p.m. at The Fire Pit. Sunday will commence with Vikas Sapra at The Beach Club from 1 to 6 p.m., followed by The Sturdy Souls at The Fire Pit from 6 to 9 p.m., and finally Chachi at The Fire Pit at 9 p.m.
Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina (32 Star Island Road, Montauk, www.gurneysresorts.com) will have sets from DJ Nicole Leone in the newly opened Showfish restaurant on Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
The Montauk Beach House’s (55 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk, thembh.com) holiday weekend programming kicks off with an Artist Reception celebrating Rebecca Underdown on Friday at 6 p.m. and DJ Oli Benz will be spinning at 7 p.m. Saturday commences with a soiree hosted by Revival Swimwear and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Haley Kalil, featuring music from DJ Oli Benz, from 1 to 4 p.m., while DJ Jeff Mayer will bring the beats at 7 p.m. DJ David Katz is spinning on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.
Swallow East (474 West Lake Drive, Montauk, www.swalloweastrestaurant.com) will welcome Kate Usher & The Sturdy Souls on Friday from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., Booga Sugar on Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Royal Khaoz as part of Reggae Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Memory Motel (692 Montauk Highway, Montauk) will welcome DJ Kasey Berry on Friday, Saturday and Monday from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., DJ Dresito on Sunday from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. and the Dave Higgins Band will headline prior to Berry’s Monday set.
Solé East Resort (90 Second House Road, Montauk, www.soleeast.com) will have poolside DJ sets on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., late night DJ sets on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., and country vibes in the Backyard garden restaurant from Jettykoon on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Amagansett:
Kick-off the holiday weekend super early with Stephen Talkhouse’s (161 Main Street, Amagansett, stephentalkhouse.com) Outrageous Open Mic Night on Thursday at 8 p.m. Friday will bring Peter Mayer & Brendan Mayer at 7 p.m. and Booga Sugar at 11 p.m. Hometown favorites, The Nancy Atlas Project, headline on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Hello Brooklyn follows at 11 p.m. Sunday will showcase Lucky Chops at 8 p.m. and Hot Lava at 11 p.m.
Indian Wells Tavern (117 Main Street, Amagansett, www.indianwellstavern.com) is reveling in Memorial Day weekend by hosting a special “Summer Kick Off Party” – with live tunes by DJ James Ryan – on Friday, May 24 from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
East Hampton:
The Clubhouse (174 Daniel’s Hole Road, East Hampton, www.ehitclubhouse.com) will have music from several local favorites. Headliners include Hoodoo Loungers on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Lynn Blue Band on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and a Sunset Sundays set from Dan Bailey Tribe from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sagaponack:
Wolffer Tasting Room (139 Sagg Road, Sagaponack) will have Ludmilla as part of Twilight Thursdays – while sunset sets at the Wolffer Wine Stand (3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, 631-537-5106, www.wolffer.com) will feature Lynn Blue Band on Friday and Dan Bailey on Saturday.
Townline BBQ’s (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack, www.townlinebbq.com) Bands, Brews and BBQ on Friday will feature Woody Boley/Mud Show from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sag Harbor:
Baron’s Cove (31 West Water Street, Sag Harbor, www.baronscove.com) will host a Memorial Day Weekend All-American Cookout on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. There will be music from the Jon Divello Trio, along with the tastes of summer – burgers, hot dogs, barbecue pulled pork, roast chicken, and more.
After being taken over by new owners, Murf’s Backstreet Tavern (64 Division Street, Sag Harbor) will reopen on Thursday.
Water Mill:
Greek Rivera, hosted by Calissa (1020 Montauk Highway, Water Mill, www.calissahamptons.com), will take place on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Inspired by Mykonos, the evening will include international disco and European dance music courtesy of DJ Stef.
Southampton:
Union Cantina (40 Bowden Square, Southampton, www.unioncantina.net) will have live music from tenor sax legend Ralph Lalama on Thursday at 7 p.m. and DCP on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
Southampton Social Club (256 Elm Street, Southampton, www.southamptonsocialclub.com) will have sets from DJ Loki on Thursday, DJ Martial on Friday, DJ Loki and Peter Valera on Saturday, and DJ Drazen on Sunday.
AM Southampton (136 Main Street, Southampton, www.amsouthampton.com) returns, but with a new location this summer. Its re-opening will feature beats from PVNCH on Friday, DJ Reach on Saturday, and Dxvid Jxmes on Sunday.
Brooklyn Chop House Southampton will kick-off its summer residency at The Capri Hotel (281 County Road 39A, Southampton, www.brooklynchophouse.com) with music from Markel and Sir Chaz on Friday. Saturday will feature an Oasis Pool Party with beats from Poolhaus, Rico, Liam Berkeley, and Exstra, and a special guest later on. On Sunday, the Oasis Pool Party returns with another set from Exstra.
Hampton Bays:
Beach Bar (58 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, beachbarhamptons.com) will celebrate the holiday weekend on Friday with music from DJ Doug and special guest DJ Unique. On Saturday and Sunday, The Drift Inn is once again taking up a summer residency at Beach Bar. The dancing, drinks, and fun begins at 9 p.m.
You can collect the iconic Boardy Barn (270 Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, www.boardybarn.com) smiley face stickers on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m.
