These are women with strong voices and leadership qualities. Join seven powerhouse women in the wellness and style industries on Wednesday, February 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Energi in Manhattan for an evening that will be sure to inspire, motivate, surprise, and connect you. Giancomantonio is the brains behind this new, innovative panel. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked in diverse fields of hospitality public relations which include: health, wellness, beauty, spas/med spas, food, restaurant openings, spirits, cocktail bars, renowned chefs, hotels, private aviation travel, lifestyle, celebrity relations, and event planning. She has mastered the art of communication with top-level media and trade to secure placements in print, broadcast, online, video editorial, and social media.
“Times are definitely changing and we must all stay relevant,” said Giacomantonio. “I am creating something for entrepreneurs so that they can be heard and have a voice without being judged by their following or small practice.”
Hilary Shienbaum will be the panel’s moderator. In her work as a journalist, she has covered many topics, including celebrity, fashion, beauty, wellness, food & beverage, love and lifestyle.
Melissa Berry is a seven-year triple negative breast cancer survivor and Founder of CancerFashionista.com which is the go-to resource for beauty, fashion, and lifestyle tips to help you look and feel your best throughout your breast cancer journey and recovery. Berry reports on all the latest products and trends to help women thrive through the process. She has also created a beautiful platform and community for these women. Suzanne Cook is the Owner and Interior Designer at Atmosphere Kitchen & Bath. After several years in shelter homes and family amusement parks with her husband, Cook decided to open up a showroom space near their home where they could give their clients a boutique experience. Their work ranges from kitchens to bathrooms to tiles to stones and everything in between. “It was very important to me to create a space where people felt comfortable where they had access to a bevy of options that they had not seen elsewhere, as well as design,” remarked Cook. “A common phrase I often say is that we don’t design in a bubble and we consider an entire space. Long story short Atmosphere was born. Our name says it all as our goal was to create a perfect atmosphere for each client individually to suit their life and needs.”
Lisa Moskovitz, RD, CDN is the CEO of NY Nutrition Group, a private nutrition practice with locations throughout the metro area. She has an extensive background in nutrition sciences and behavioral counseling. Over the years Moskovitz has successfully treated thousands of New Yorkers. She has a special talent & dedication to helping all her clients no matter their specific challenges and barriers. Lisa strongly believes and understands there is no one-size fits all plan. “The key to success is to find a program that will satisfy your needs and fit in to your lifestyle,” said Moskovitz. “If you’re constantly traveling for work, or frequently eat out in restaurants, following a strict diet will not work and may even backfire. With the right knowledge and tools, you can keep living your life and also reach your health goals at the same time.” Moskovitz also understands having a positive relationship with food is key as is listening to your body. Alyson Eastman is a fashion designer who has traveled the country and world, including Los Angeles, Paris, New York, and beyond. She interned for designers Zac Posen and Badgley Mischka in the early years of her career and then landed other small jobs such as Ralph Lauren window displays. In 2016 Eastman made the leap and started her own clothing line. Her seafoam patent leather jackets have been spotted on celebrities like Kate Moss, Zendaya, and Lupita Nyongo.
Lindsey Becker is the founder of Farm Cut, a catering company that provides nutritious, healthy and flavorful comfort foods made from superfoods. It’s NYC’s only catering company to ensure all meals are gluten, dairy, soy and refined sugar-free. A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, Becker has worked at Gramercy Tavern, was a private chef for NYC’s wealthiest residents, is a certified health coach and fertility chef, and has been featured on various televised cooking competitions. Dr. Kavita Mariwalla is a nationally recognized leader in dermatology and dermatologic surgery, whose expertise is in the areas of anti-aging procedures and skin cancer treatment. Prior to starting her own private practice, Dr. Mariwalla was the Director of Cutaneous Oncology at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt and Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York. Dr. Mariwalla has been recognized for extensive work in the area of dermatologic education.
