Snowy weather didn’t stop the ladies in red. More than 250 women donned the fiery color to celebrate 10th Annual “Girls Night Out” dinner held at the Hyatt Sea Star Ballroom in Riverhead on Friday, March, 8, 2013. The goal was to raise money to help fight heart disease and it did just that, bringing in approximately $20,000 for the American Heart Association. The event founder, Nancy Kouris was excited to say the least about reaching their goal. “The mission of the American Heart Association is building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That is something worth coming together for!” said Kouris.
