Cold weather had no bearing on Yankees stars both past and present as they graced the “blue carpet” of the Grand Opening Party for NYY Steak before heading indoors to the jam packed party in the three-story restaurant. Among those in attendance were current first baseman Mark Teixeira, former center fielder Bernie Williams (who delighted the crowd with a performance with his All Star Band), David Cone, Roy White, Dwight “Doc” Gooden and Mickey Rivers. Celebrities and the like also came out in droves to support NYY Steak’s official entry into the Manhattan dining scene including momager Kris Jenner, “Dancing with the Stars” alum Christina Milian, hockey star Mark Messier, “Long Island Princesses” star Chanel Omari, Delaina Dixon of VH1’s “Gossip Table,” “Bronx Bombers” Broadway star John Wernke, who plays the legendary Lou Gehrig in the show, and the esteemed James Lipton from Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio.”
