Market Art + Design is returning to the Bridgehampton Museum from August 12-15 and has continued to expand after overwhelming popularity with the East End public after more than a decade. Guests can expect 80 top galleries with the best modern and contemporary art and design alongside a program of partnerships and public projects. The team and galleries behind Market Art + Design are thrilled to be returning to an in-person event this season.
The 2021 event is slated to surpass all previous years’ numbers in admission, sales, and works of art. The Market Art + Design team is proud to return to the community with a bang. In addition to an extensive list of international galleries, there will also be a strong presence of local stalwart galleries that have defined the region for the last several decades. There will be a serendipitous blend of galleries from near and far. Attendees will be able to reconnect with galleries of which they have not seen in-person for several months, as well as meet new galleries.
“We have 80 excellent galleries joining us this year presenting really incredible, really important work with exciting newcomers from The Hamptons, NYC, Charleston, Mexico City, and Miami as well as a great group of returning galleries and some gorgeous large scale installations,” reflected Kelly Freeman, Director of Market Art + Design. “I think it’s really a testament to the both collecting power of the Hamptons Community and to the serious level of commitment the area has to civic and artistic patronage that we are all about to come together again in such a big way, and we’re thrilled to be able to do so!”
A few highlights from this year’s exhibitors include: David Benrimon Fine Art, Mark Borghi, CAM Galeria, MM Fine Art, Sugarlift, Marloe Gallery, Jerald Melberg Gallery, Timothy Yarger Fine Art, Vertu Fine Art, Sponder Gallery, VSOP Projects, Jan Kath, Steidel Contemporary, Adamar Fine Arts, Burgess Modern and Contemporary, and DMD Contemporary, with more to be announced soon.
For those in the Hamptons who are art collectors or simply enjoy browsing for enjoyment, Market Art + Design is certainly something to look forward to.
The Select VIP Preview will take place on Thursday, August 12 from 1-5 p.m. Opening Evening is later that night from 5-9 p.m. Public Hours are August 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and August 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
