Compass is expanding to Montauk. The technology-driven real estate company recently announced that it has acquired Keeshan Real Estate, the longest family owned and operated independent real estate company in Montauk, which was helmed by father and daughter team, John and Nancy Keeshan.
“Montauk is such a special town,” shared John Keeshan, who founded Keeshan Real Estate back in 1977. “With its famous beaches and protected landscape, the promise it will remain a quiet and relaxing destination for decades to come is increasingly attractive to buyers of all types, particularly millennials starting new families.”
This marks Compass’ fifth office in the Hamptons. The company’s new space at 37 Carl Fisher Plaza is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Montauk.
Keeshan Real Estate’s strong reputation for integrity, longevity and excellence, and devotion to the community will continue under its new leadership. “Compass, with its strong pulse on this demographic and the neighboring Hamptons communities, is the perfect partner to help us meet the evolving needs of the buyer and seller,” noted Keeshan.
Compass is thrilled to once again increase its presence in the area. “We’re excited to offer a combination of the foremost boutique brokerage in Montauk with the innovative approach that Compass brings to home buyers and sellers in this growing market,” said John Gicking, Senior Managing Director for Compass in the Hamptons.
Today, Compass has 44 agents that are based out of its Montauk, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Southampton and Sag Harbor offices. Scott Strough and his team are among other recent Compass additions. The Strough team joined the Sag Harbor office in early 2016.
