StreetEasy®, which is owned and operated by Zillow Group, Inc., has launched a new Hamptons-focused real estate brand.
Back in January 2017, Zillow Group acquired Hamptons Real Estate Online (HREO.com), a searchable real estate database, which they have retired and replaced with Out East.
“When we set out to re-imagine HREO, we talked to real Hamptons buyers and renters to understand both priorities and frustrations with their home shopping experiences, but most importantly what made the Hamptons area a unique place to have or rent a home,” explained Matt Daimler, general manager of Out East. “It was about escaping from the city and finding a place where you could spend time with friends and family, while also being close to town, the beach, and other local activities. These insights inspired Out East to be what launched today – a truly local and customized platform for Hamptons real estate backed by modern technology to streamline their search.”
The Hamptons, which is home to three of the top 15 most expensive zip codes in the United State, is quite a unique real estate market. It’s also one of the most popular second-home and vacation rental locales for New Yorkers, which can make finding the right property quite challenging.
The new website will feature a totally reimagined search experience that includes market-specific features and filters. Visitors will be able to search by town, rental period, and waterfront location or water views.
According to Google Analytics tracking, 40 percent of HREO’s visits in 2017 came from New York City users. Out East plans to use a similar hyper-local approach that StreetEasy® takes with its other New York brands to offer a distinctively Hamptons real estate experience.
The website will feature extensive listings that will encompass homes for-sale, as well as short and long-term rentals, and land for sale. Additionally, Out East will include town guides and a hyper-customized shopping experience to help buyers and renters get to know the town their interested in calling home.
