It starts with a SPARK! Inspiration, creativity, and change can be hard to engineer; sometimes, we need a jolt to ignite our motors. Art is always there to give us that spark to open our eyes and ears to new ideas. Kicking off 2023, the SPARK Exhibit is sure to get you thinking and charged up for a new year to explore!
SPARK will be available on Saturday and Sunday from 11am–5pm from January 21–March 19th, 2023 at The White Room Gallery on Main Street in Bridgehampton.
What’s the exhibit about? “Passionate, provocative, and ready to ignite…” say curators and co-owners Andrea McCafferty & Kat O’Neill of SPARK, their first exhibit of 2023. “The power of art is how it can awaken something in you. Of course, everybody’s fuse is different. But isn’t that the point?”
“And yes, the theme of love with vibrant hues of pinks and reds to commemorate the dreaded or highly anticipated V-Day. Now, we know for some Feb 14th evokes images of mass, unnecessary commercialism, but this exhibit says to—ignore all that and celebrate the spark. That feeling of life, renewed energy, laughter, and beauty.”
Over the years, the White Room has become a local treasure for art lovers, cultivating strong community ties by hosting a variety of receptions, exhibitions, and workshops, designed to showcase traditional arts, new trends, and more. With year-round exhibits and constantly engaging, it’s no surprise that The White Room has been voted The Best Gallery in the Hamptons many times over!
There is always something exciting at the White Room Gallery. Featuring an eclectic, wide array of styles from well-known and emerging talents in many mediums, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, and ceramics.
