Women will once again take center stage at RJD Gallery in Bridgehampton during the Gallery’s annual Women Painting Women show, however this year they will share the spotlight as RJD introduces Men Painting Men.

“We are excited about our latest exhibition Women Painting Women | Men Painting Men: Voices with Vision and the visions of ourselves presented by both our gallery and guest artists,” Joi Jackson Perle of RJD Gallery.

For the 2018 exhibition, figurative artists of both sexes were invited to submit a reflection that highlights the magnificence from within and the exceptional, unique attributes that makes them, them.

“How one views oneself is always fascinating; the exploration as seen through the eyes of these artists, even more so,” Jackson Perle noted. “It is a celebration of what makes us different and our commonalities.”

Women Painting Women | Men Painting Men: Voices with Vision will feature gallery artists Mary Jane Ansell, Jules Arthur, Margaret Bowland, Amanda Greive, Andrea Kowch, Matt M. Martin, Rachel Moseley, Agnieszka Nienartowicz, Frank Oriti, Jantina Peperkamp, Odile Richer, Harmonia Rosales, Jackee Sandelands-Strom, Jorge Santos, Margo Selski, Lesley Thiel, Phillip Thomas, Armando Valero, Pamela Wilson, and Jamie Wyeth, as well as guest artists Barbara Abeltina, Asha Aravind, Tony Baselici, Donna Bates, Paige Bradley, Sandy Cohen, Stephanie Deshpande, Jacalyn Fuchs, Maria Jimenez, Claudia Kaak, Wendy Layne, Daire Lynch, Margaret Minardi, Gail Postal, Tony Randler, Jack Rosenberg, Robert Samartino, Viktoria Savenkova, Dan Simoneau, Suzy Smith, Vicki Sullivan, Rebecca Tait, and Daggi Wallace.

“In these fractured, uncertain times it’s wonderful to join together and rejoice in one another,” Jackson Perle added.

Women Painting Women | Men Painting Men: Voices with Vision debuts on Saturday, October 6 and will remain on display through Tuesday, October 30. RJD will host an opening reception on Saturday, October 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. The festivity will include the chance to meet many of the artists, sip on a signature cocktail concocted specially for the affair, enjoy live music, and celebrate the works.

RJD Gallery is located at 2385 Main Street in Bridgehampton. For more information, visit rjdgallery.com.
