ArtRemsenburg: Fall Into Winter Art Show will debut as part of ArtRemsenburg at the Academy over Columbus Day weekend. The intimate seasonal art show, highlighting pieces from seven acclaimed local artists based in Remsenburg and the surrounding area, will launch at The Remsenburg Academy on Saturday October 12 with an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m.
“This is a special show that we are confidant will be an extension of our successful summer slate of art exhibits,” reflected ArtRemsenburg committee member and Fall Into Winter artist Paul Dempsey.
Fall Into Winter Art Show will encompass the works of Jean Arena, Dempsey, Dan Gosnell, Jim Mendelson, Pamela Morrison, Michael Pope and Steven Schreiber.
“We are breaking new ground extending into the fall season,” Dempsey noted. “All the works are for sale, including many bin items at reasonable prices.”

For those that enjoy learning the story behind the work, many of the artists will be on hand at the celebratory opening soiree to chat with attendees about how their masterpieces came to be.
Presented at The Remsenburg Academy, a landmark building that was constructed in 1860, ArtRemsenburg was established to champion local artists by inviting them to present their pieces during the series of summer exhibitions. The ArtRemsenburg art shows are typically held May through September, until now.
ArtRemsenburg: Fall Into Winter Art Show will remain on view through December. Following the opening reception, which is open to the public, the exhibition will be available to view by appointment. There is no fee to attend the opening reception. To request a viewing, email [email protected].
