The Pitchforks of Duke University, an all-male a cappella group, will perform on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. Founded in 1979, The Pitchforks contain voices of undergraduates, graduates and Duke faculty and staff of all ages.
Performing on campus and across North Carolina during the academic year, the group has appeared at various venues including professional sports arenas and has showcased their talent for the Queen of Jordan as well as record producer Ben Folds.
For their 2006 album “Bring It Back” and their 2008 album “Disconcert,” The Pitchforks have twice won the CARA Award for Best Male Collegiate Album. Their most recent release, “All In,” received the runner-up award for Best Male Collegiate Album last August and won Best Male Collegiate Album and Best male Collegiate Arrangement for their hit single, “Fireflies.”
