The Parrish Art Museum is inviting emerging and established local filmmakers to submit short, ten-minute surf films, which will considered for Atlantic Vibrations, Vol. 2, an outdoor screaming of noncommercial surf films on Friday, August 22, 2014.
Entry into the contest is free of charge, however the Parrish Art Museum requires that filmmakers reside between Westhampton and Montauk, although the setting is not restricted to the East End. For consideration, entries must be sent, with a brief synopsis, to Andrea Grover, Curator of Special Projects. The deadline is Wednesday, July 23.
Photographer and filmmaker Michael Halsband, artist Mike Solomon, and surf film producer and promoter Tyler Breuer will judge the submitted films and determine which will be selected for screening.
